Coach Supervision
A super-visor creates for the coach:
- A safe place to reflect and explore ideas, concerns and successes
- A chance to renew and hone coaching tools/skills
- An open forum for frank discussion
- An opportunity to shed light on specific interventions
- A space to dispel collusion and explore hidden agendas
- A forum to generate new insights, reveal hidden strengths and explore development areas.
A super-visor is able to:
- Move in or out of the system
- Be a part of that system but have an objective overview
- See what is working well and not so well
- Address concerns around issues of conflict and confidentiality
- Bring to light aspects that may have been overlooked
- Confront limiting perceptions and confidence issues
- Promote trust and ethical practice
- Ensure quality enhancement
